My name is Kodi Reynolds, and I am the creator of LSTR Records. I have always been deeply moved by music from a young age, but its impact grew stronger until it became a part of my life I needed an outlet for.

My journey started in 2020, amidst the pandemic, when I discovered my first musical obsession, Joji. After hearing BALLADS 1 for the first time, it ignited a feeling inside me that I had rarely felt, and with nothing else to do, I leaned into it. After I patiently waited for his 2020 release, Nectar, I realized there was so much music to explore.

I continued to gain new artistic inspiration over the years, from the likes of the small Texas band Sun June to more well-known artists like Omar Apollo, BROCKHAMPTON, and Little Simz. As this collection grew, and I entered college (and realized I had no hobbies), I realized nothing was stopping me from rating and reviewing music myself. So on one crisp spring afternoon in 2024, I took a walk in Downtown Cleveland, put on Jean Dawson’s Pixel Bath, and since then I haven't stopped reviewing.

What has always inspired me about music is the way it touches the human soul. Music has been with me through every rough transition in my life, and it is the biggest proponent of what has kept me going. It is my personal mantra that every song is made for someone out there; it just has to find them, and with LSTR Records, that is what I seek to do. Spotlighting artists of every size, discovering that song, or album, or playlist, is what one person needs to keep on trucking through the hardships of life.
